SUMMARY

As a key member of our collaborative tax team, the position will assume a strategic role in providing a variety of tax related services to our clients and community as well as engaging clients and staff in a professional manner. This is an excellent opportunity to manage and mentor others while growing individually on both a technical and personal level.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of related tax/public accounting experience
  • CPA license

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation and review of Partnership, Corporation, S Corporation, and Individual Income tax returns
  • Collaborative management and leadership between Grand Rapids and Greenville locations
  • Tax department strategic planning
  • Mentoring through the sharing of knowledge with coworkers in our collaborative, supportive atmosphere
  • Seeking ways to improve processes and implementation
  • Generating ‘good ideas that add up’ for clients and maintaining client relationships
  • Tax projections and engagement planning
  • Other duties as assigned

 ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS

  • ProSystems fx and/or other tax software experience
  • Familiarity with tax compliance and research software
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong collaborative skills
  • Positive, professional and personable
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to multiple businesses/industries and flexibility
  • Proven time and project management skills
  • Ability to handle stress and deadlines
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Prefers a fast-paced, hands-on work environment
