Audit Manager – St. Joseph

This is a great opportunity for Audit Managers on the Shareholder track who understand the importance of being team oriented, strategic, and organized and how it affects all aspects of the business.


As a key member of our St. Joseph team, the position will assume an important role in providing a variety of accounting and auditing related services to our clients and community. The primary day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing and performing governmental and not-for-profit audit engagements, and relationship building.

TRAVEL Some travel required but minimal (ex. To client meetings) with no overnight travel anticipated

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field
  • Active CPA license
  • Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience


  • Planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing governmental entity and not-for-profit audits in compliance with applicable GAAS, GASB, GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Managing audit teams and staffing
  • Develop, train, and mentor staff
  • Research technical accounting and auditing issues and provide technical review support
  • Manage and build client relationships
  • Collaborate with entire HN audit team across office locations


  • Strong governmental accounting background
  • Familiar with GASB, municipality auditing and not-for-profit auditing
  • School auditing background is helpful but not required
  • Highly detail-oriented with strategic organization skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Effective and consistent communication skills
  • Tech savvy: Ability to learn and utilize other software packages to benefit work product and firm
  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision and take initiative
  • Professionalism, positive attitude, personable
  • Strong relationship building skills for client contact and business development
