LOCATION St. Joseph, Michigan

STATUS Full-time, overtime expected March and early Fall

SUMMARY As a key member of our firm, the position will assume an important role in providing a variety of accounting and auditing related services to our clients and community. The primary day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing and performing governmental and not-for-profit audit engagements, tax return preparation and review, and relationship building. This is a great opportunity for individuals on the Shareholder track who understand the importance of being team oriented, strategic and organized and how it affects all aspects of the business.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum 5 years of public accounting experience

  • Planning, coordinating, supervising and executing governmental entity and not-for-profit audits in compliance with applicable GAAS, GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Managing teams across multiple clients involving allocating work to staff and senior accounting team to manage audit engagements to budget
  • Develop, train, and mentor staff and senior accountants
  • Research technical accounting and auditing issues and provide technical review support
  • Review individual, corporation, and trust tax returns
  • Manage and build client relationships


  • Tech savvy; Ability to learn and utilize other software packages to benefit work product and firm
  • Highly detail-oriented with strategic organization skills to meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment
  • Effective and consistent communication skills
