Professional Services Engineer


The Professional Services Engineer position is responsible for scoped project implementations and specifically assigned customer engagements. This role is focused on technical work that is preplanned or regularly schedule customer visits.  Strong communication skills, time management, and critical thinking are essential in this role. The Hungerford Technologies team has a strong collaboration culture on both day-to-day technical issues and our standard processes’ improvement.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Project or scoped work – 60%
    • Implementation of technology solutions. These may include server and network upgrades, 2FA and other security implementations, and software updates.
    • Assist the Hungerford Design team with the scoping and planning of client project work
  • Network Admin – 20%
    • Gain a deep understanding of a client environment
    • Get to know client end-users
    • Implement proactive technologies updates
    • Review client environment to meet Hungerford Technologies standards
  • Support Escalation – 20%
    • Assist with escalated remote support issues
    • Onsite support engagements


  • Valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • 2 to 4 Years of Experience or equivalent technical expertise required
  • Experience with Network Equipment (switches, firewalls, routers) and Protocols (TCP, DNS, DHCP, iSCSI, etc) required
  • Experience with Windows Server OS and Applications required
  • Experience with Remote Support technologies and procedures required
  • Experience with Virtualization Technologies a plus
  • Experience with Cloud-based Services a plus
  • Experience with Helpdesk Ticketing software a plus
  • Technical Certifications (MSCE, MCP, CCNA, A+) a plus
  • Experience with NextGen software a plus
