Senior Accountant

 TITLE Senior Accountant

STATUS Full-time, overtime expected March and early Fall

SUMMARY As a key member of our firm, the position will assume an important role in providing a variety of accounting and auditing related services to our clients and community. The primary day-to-day responsibilities will involve in-charging and performing governmental and not-for-profit audit engagements, and relationship building.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related business field
  • CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA
  • Minimum 2 years of public accounting experience, governmental audit
  •  preferred

  • Planning, coordinating, executing governmental entity and not-for-profit audits in compliance with applicable GAAS, GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Develop, train, and mentor staff
  • Research technical accounting and auditing issues and provide technical review support
  • Prepare S-corporation and other business tax returns
  • Manage and build client relationships


  • Tech savvy; Ability to learn and utilize other software packages to benefit work product and firm
  • Highly detail-oriented with strategic organization skills to meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment
  • Effective and consistent communication skills
  • Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision and take initiative
