I began my journey at Lake Michigan College and eventually transferred to Western Michigan University where I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Accounting.

What is your area of specialty – how do you best help your clients?

I perform tax preparation on corporations, nonprofits, and 1040’s occasionally. Additionally, I also perform audits of municipalities and school district audits across the state. I think I best help my clients by giving any suggestions to make processes more efficient so the client and I can work together better during an audit.

I think my favorite strength is learner. I like to stay interested and passionate about what I do and by constantly having the drive to learn new things, I think this strength has made me the most successful.

How do you like to give back to the community?

I love volunteering when opportunities arise. I typically involve myself with United Way locally and join their team to assist those in need of services that they cannot get. Additionally, I love animals sooooo much and whenever I have a chance to volunteer at the Humane Society, I take on the opportunity to volunteer.

What are your superpowers – something you’re good at that others should know about?

I can fix cars and build computers! This tied in with my hobbies/interests.

Accomplishment you’re proud of?

One accomplishment that I am proud of is honestly obtaining my Bachelors in Accounting. I struggled to succeed during school and it was a very difficult time for me. When I received that degree, it meant the world to me and it made my family very proud.

Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)

I am very family oriented and love spending time with family any chance I get. I have two cats (Peppa and Frisky) both are girls and I love them very much. I like to work on cars occasionally. I have little experience but I usually can fix just about any minor issue that comes up. I also love playing video games when I have the time.

What is your favorite part of working at the firm?

My favorite part of working at the firm is the collaborative family-like environment that this firm provides. Everybody gets along very well and everyone enjoys helping each other out. We truly are a team environment.
