I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 2004 and a Master’s Degree in Accounting in 2005 from Walsh College. Since 2007 I have been licensed as a CPA in the State of Michigan.

What is your area of specialty – how do you best help your clients?

I am a tax specialist that helps clients with both compliance and consulting. I am the go to person in areas including state and local taxes, qualified opportunity funds, tax research, and news updates. Much of my work within the firm involves researching difficult issues, developing internal education & best practices, doing quality control in the tax area, and providing additional support and review of work for other professional’s clients.

What are your top 5 strengths? What is your favorite strength?

Context, Relator, Analytical, Intellection, Learner. My favorite is Intellection.

How do you like to give back to the community?

Currently I am the treasurer of my condo association and a long-time member of two MICPA task forces. Over the years I have done many fundraisers for organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Special Olympics, Junior Achievement, and Friends & Family of Cystic Fibrosis.

What are your superpowers – something you’re good at that others should know about?

For many years I have acted in short films featured in local film contests/festivals so I am comfortable acting/performing/speaking in front of groups.

Accomplishment you’re proud of?

Taking in an otherwise homeless person, helping him clean up his financial situation, and giving him a fresh start in life.

Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)

I travel frequently to other states and countries.
