Jeremie VanOeveren joined the firm in August 2020 as a Senior Accountant in the Tax Department. He recently moved back home to Michigan from Houston, Texas, where he had resided since May 2009. He has worn many hats both in public and corporate accounting, most recently as Tax Manager for an offshore international shipping company. He specializes in international tax compliance, nexus and apportionment issues, transfer pricing, corporate fund portfolio management and forecasting, among other domestic tax compliance concentrations.
He holds a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Grand Valley State University, as well as a double-major BBA in accounting and finance from the same, with an emphasis in statistics.
He is a current member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Michigan Institute of CPAs (MICPA), and the Texas Society of CPAs (TXCPA). He enjoys alumni status and contact with Beta Alpha Psi, Theta Chi, and Seidman IPO at GVSU.
In his free time, Jeremie enjoys international travel, outdoor activities such as golf, biking, rock climbing, visiting all Michigan beaches, and experimenting in the kitchen with scratch recipes.
