I joined the firm in 2018 as a Business Advisor. I bring over 25 years of leadership experience working in corporate accounting and providing advisory services to small and mid-size businesses.
I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting from Eastern Michigan University and earned a Master of Science Management, Leadership & Strategy degree from Michigan State University in May 2020.
What is your area of specialty – how do you best help your clients?
I specialize in working with small to mid-size businesses in the areas of accounting, budgeting, operations, talent engagement, stakeholder relations, and business strategy formulation and implementation. I play an instrumental role in the firm’s outsourced accounting and advisory services team and am also leading the efforts in the firm’s fraud & litigation team.
I am passionate about servant leadership and helping business owners and their teams realize their goals. I always strive to provide excellent service to my clients. I am an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working to create ethical best practices for businesses.
I am a strong accounting professional skilled in management, strategic planning, accounting, business process improvement, and business analysis. I enjoy mentoring others and helping them to grow in their profession.
What are your top 5 strengths? What is your favorite strength?
I am a member of Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and the IMA; volunteers for ACG Women in Finance; participated as an ACG Cup Judge in 2019, 2020, and 2021; and serve on the Board of Directors for Grand Rapids Opportunities for Women (GROW).
Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)
My husband Walt and I have two sons. I enjoy golf, entertaining, and spending time with friends and family.
