*Learner *Achiever *Relator *Competition *Includer. Includer is my favorite. I like to feel everyone has a contribution and no one is ever left out if I can help it.
How do you like to give back to the community?
I am the Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre.
What are your superpowers – something you’re good at that others should know about?
Velvet Hammer – One professional nickname that has stuck. Smiley and Sunshine as well. I have been told I am very kind, but firm when needed. This has definitely proved helpful when running a fraud investigation, as suspects in the past have provided full confessions once a comfort level has been established (velvet side) and the firm nature (hammer side) comes through.
Accomplishment you’re proud of?
Waking up every day with happiness to enjoy and a profession that drives me.
Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)
Hobbies include reading medical journals, keeping up on emerging artificial intelligence (AI)/cyber trends.
What is your favorite part of working at the firm?
At Hungerford Nichols, I’ve experienced working with a unique group of fun and kind intellectuals. Our environment at HN, constantly challenges and supports my professional and personal growth.
