What is your area of specialty – how do you best help your clients?

I currently specialize in audits of government and non-profit entities. I enjoy working with our clients to provide accurate financial statements in order to create a foundation for sound financial and budgeting decisions. In addition, I have helped many of our clients navigate the changes to financial accounting and reporting standards.

What are your top 5 strengths? What is your favorite strength?

• Learner
• Input
• Achiever
• Responsibility
• Intellection

My favorite strength is intellection. I enjoy being challenged by my work and learning to understand difficult concepts and/or working on complex questions. A career as a CPA has provided me the opportunities to practice this strength.

How do you like to give back to the community?

I enjoy giving back to the community by exploring and supporting local businesses. Additionally, my husband and I enjoy giving back by supporting different outreach activities/programs through our church.

What are your superpowers – something you’re good at that others should know about?

I believe my superpower is my work ethic. I have a drive to excel in everything I do and I work diligently to reach goals or complete tasks.

Accomplishment you’re proud of?

My biggest accomplishments are graduating with my MBA and obtaining my CPA license within 2 years while working full time.

Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)

My life outside of work involves coming home to my little family. Me and my husband just welcomed our sweet baby boy into the world in December of 2021. I love being a mama and look forward to watching him grow.

My faith is a large part of my life. I regularly attend church, do daily devotionals, and actively pursue a close relationship with my Creator.

My hobbies include traveling and experiencing the world and its different cultures. Although I’ve enjoyed traveling abroad, I would like to spend more time exploring the United States. I like to enjoy the great outdoors when visiting home in the U.P. (swimming, kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, etc.). When I have free-time I like to lift weights/run or cozy up and read a good book (book suggestions are welcome).

What is your favorite part of working at the firm?

My favorite part about working at Hungerford is being a part of a tight knit culture. I genuinely enjoy being around my coworkers. The workplace atmosphere allows me to come to work and feel openly accepted.
