Education/Certification

I attended Aquinas College, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration Dual Major in 2013, and also became a CPA in 2016.

What is your area of specialty – how do you best help your clients?

I work with small business owners in achieving their personal and business goals by specializing in tax planning and understanding how businesses work. My specialty areas also include financial statement reporting for manufacturing and construction businesses, tax planning, and compliance.

What are your top 5 strengths? What is your favorite strength?

Analytical, Deliberative, Futuristic, Discipline, and Context are my top 5 strengths. I like the combination of analytical, futurist and context. I like having the ability to have a historical reference to look back upon, with things like hard data as a means to prove something or project it out. Then using those tools as a reference for anticipating the future, and I think the future is something to get excited about.

Accomplishment you’re proud of?

Working every day to be a better form of myself, and being accepting of myself. Becoming a CPA was a major accomplishment in my life but becoming a dad has been the most fulfilling.

Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)

I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, and woodworking. My wife and I also like baseball and are currently trying to travel to each Major League ballpark. We are just about half way done.

What is your favorite part of working at the firm?

Is it too cliché to say the culture? I’ve been at the firm a couple of years and now I can say it’s an environment that you can affect positive change on. Eventually the environment is what you make of it. I enjoy being a part of something bigger than myself, but still being able to make it what it is.
