Achiever:  There is no better feeling than taking on a challenge or tasks and seeing it through to completion.

What are your superpowers – something you’re good at that others should know about?

I am a planner: I like to take the time to write down steps and think everything through. I don’t like surprises.

Problem Solver: Every problem has a solution, sometimes several possible solutions. I find it is best to think things through and come up with the right solution for each problem.

Accomplishment you’re proud of?

I am proud of my independence. Throughout my life I was depended on to keep things going: as a sibling (so many chores!), as a mom (raising children is a challenge!), as an employee (doing my best at each tasks!). Sometimes you can get lost within all that life throws at you, you lose yourself.

I am proud of the fact that I take time for myself, think of what makes me happy and doing what it takes to make me happy. I wear many hats, but the “be me” hat is one of the most important ones I wear.

Tell us about your life outside of work (family/pets/sports/activities/interests/hobbies)

Born in Detroit, I am the middle child of nine (5 sisters, 3 brothers). I cherish and am very proud of my daughter, 2 sons, and 2 daughter’s-in-law. My 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson are my pride and joy, I cherish each moment that I have with them and love creating memories for them.

I enjoy hiking with my daughter to view waterfalls, most of which have been in Tennessee. I enjoy the solitude of walking beaches and there is nothing more calming to me than listening to the sound of waves crashing. I also enjoy reading suspense novels, working on jigsaw puzzles (over 1,000 pieces), and watching movies.

I have many hobbies: gardening, sewing, knitting, crocheting and cross-stitching. My current hobby that I am getting back into after 20 years is working on stained glass.

What is your favorite part of working at the firm?

I don’t even have to think on that, it is definitely the people. Everyone at Hungerford is friendly, funny, caring, willing to help in any way they can. We work hard and we have a lot of fun times together.

We have many gatherings, some spur of the moment, some with sports and challenges (we have very competitive people at Hungerford!), but everything we do is full of laughter and brings us closer together. Hungerford is not just a place I work, it’s a place where I feel like family.
